A refurbished statue of Christopher Columbus is now on display in Pueblo.
The Sons of Italy unveiled the refurbished 109-year-old statue during their annual wreath-laying ceremony marking Columbus Day on Monday.
KOAA-TV (http://bit.ly/1saz3ax) reported that the ceremony unfolded as protesters, some of them in Native American headdresses, chanted from behind a police barricade.
