The annual Holy Rosary Italian Festival will kick off its 49th year Thursday with a weekend of food, amusements and music. Festa 2016 will run from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Featured will be such homemade Italian specialties as soffrito, baked lasagna, calamari, porchetta as well as friend dough, zeppole and cannoli.

Rainbow Amusements will provide Midway rides. On Thursday an all night bracelet for the rides may be purchased for $20. Entertainment will include the legendary Mark Lanzieri, who sings Sinatra when he's not slinging hot dogs outside the Derby Superior courthouse.
