Join the Master Singers of Lexington for a wide-ranging evening of all things Italian: choral music by Italian and Italian American composers from Montiverdi to the present. The concert will feature three secular Montiverdi pieces, Gabrieli's Jubilate Deo, and Verdi's Ave Maria but it also includes modern settings by Persichetti of four poems by e.e. cummings and settings of four Chinese poems by Kaing Kang-Hu by Peter Menin.
Rossini and Donizetti choruses and some whimsical songs by Norman Dello Joio round out the program. First Parish Church is on the Battle Green is fully accessible with ample free parking. Tickets are available in advance or at the door and discounts are available to subscribers, to Greater Boston Choral Consortium members, and from members of the chorus.
