Wooster Street in New Haven and Franklin Avenue in South Hartford were hidden treasures as far as restaurants, pizza, and even history; however, they were pretty disappointingly not vibrant Italian American communities. There were very few residents in these neighborhoods of Italian decent.
Our next East Coast destination is Atwells Ave in Federal Hill, Rhode Island. Rhode Island sports the highest percentage of Italians than any other state. So, statistically, we assumed to find an extremely vibrant neighborhood in Federal Hill.
