The Consulate General of Italy in Boston celebrated Italy’s National Day on June 2nd with an event held at its premises. The event was attended by a large number of guests, including the Hon. Andrea Di Giuseppe, elected in the Foreign Constituency – North and Central America Division. His presence highlighted the strong bond between Italian institutions and the Italian community abroad.
The evening’s menu was curated by Chef Mario Marini, ALMA Ambassador and representative of Parma, UNESCO Creative City of Gastronomy. He was assisted by chefs from Tucson (AZ)—the only American UNESCO Creative City in this sector—and by a master from the Italian School of Pizza Makers (Scuola Italiana Pizzaioli).
The evening concluded with a concert by “Scanzonati”, the musical group founded by Stefano Marchese and Andrea Peirolo, celebrating ten years of activity and Italian music in Boston.
