Casa Italiana is celebrating its grand opening in the newly restored Italian Social Club in Springfield’s South End. In a news release from Christopher DiMauro with the Order of the Sons and Daughters of Italy in Springfield, the historic Social Club was founded in 1897 and was a cornerstone for the Italian community.
With new leadership and revitalization, Casa Italiana is now home to St. Padre Pio 3013 Sons & Daughters of Italy and Società della Madonna del Carmine. The South End of Springfield is an area with a rich Italian history that has changed over the years.
