Traffic Advisory will welcome Ignazio Marino, the Mayor of Rome, to mark the kick-off of its summer program.
Since taking office in 2013, Mayor Marino, a daily bike commuter himself, has focused his attention on improving Rome's transport system by pedestrianizing the most historic archaeological sites in the city. This unprecedented policy has turned Rome into a more bike-friendly place while reducing pollution levels and helping preserve ancient monuments.
