We, sadly last month, lost yet another “Daughter of the North End.” With heavy heart, I share the news of the loss of Anna Moreschi of Malden via Hanover Street via Salem Street of Boston’s Little Italy, the North End. Anna passed away on Dec. 9 at 86 surrounded by the love of family.
Her daughter Maria’s Facebook post spoke volumes: “The worst of times bring out the best in people. Perfect description of the last 17 days for my family and the last 17 days of mom’s life on this earth. We went 24/7. Dinner, 15 plus. And three dogs every night. People sleeping on chairs pushed together, couches and in shifts.
