Is this the End of Days for Our Lady of Mount Carmel-St. Ann Church? If Bishop Robert J. McManus accepts the proposal made by Monsignor F. Stephen Pedone, it certainly looks like it.

Monsignor Pedone, pastor for both Our Lady of Mount Carmel-St. Ann and Our Lady of Loreto churches, told a packed audience Sunday at the Gene J. DeFeudis Italian American Cultural Center that he proposes a merger of the two parishes. Worship services for the combined parishes would be held at Our Lady of Loreto Church, 33 Massasoit Road.
