I returned to Williamsburg, Brooklyn on Thursday night to celebrate the Feast of San Donato. Now in its 18th year, the street celebration continues to draw devotees from across the Tri-State area. Francesca Mazza, who has a special devotion to San Donato, organizes the Feast in memory of her beloved mother.
The Mazza family generously set up tents and chairs, and offered a variety of refreshments to all the guests. Held from Tuesday, August 5th to Thursday, August 7th the participants prayed the Rosary nightly, ending with an outdoor Mass in Italian and English with Father Barozzi.
