Fino al 27 aprile, la galleria 955 del Metropolitan Museum ospita sette opere dello scultore italiano Antonio Canova, le ultime in ordine di tempo realizzate dal maestro.
Antonio Canova (1757-1822) é il più grande di tutti gli scultori neoclassici, cantore di una bellezza ideale priva di affezioni e per questo detto "il nuovo Fidia".
