Angela Dea (Rosati) Giansante, 90, of Lockport passed away peacefully on January 31, 2016, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Roccamorice, Italy, on July 22, 1925, to Corradino and Maria (DiPronio) Rosati. Her mother died when she was 9, and Angela became a loving caregiver to two younger siblings.
Her father moved the family from Italy to Lockport where Angela grew up and attended Sisters of Mercy nursing college. In 1946 she married her childhood sweetheart Anthony Giansante and they began life together in Vineland, N.J., eventually moving back to Lockport, N.Y., where she worked as a nurse at Lockport Memorial Hospital.
