Vincent C. Maltese, Chairman of the Triangle Fire Memorial Association (TFMA) announced their 2018 awardees will be honored at the 107th Anniversary Ceremony to be held on Sunday, March 25, 2:00 pm, at the Paolucci CNL Center at Christ the King Campus, 68-02 Metropolitan Avenue, Middle Village (Door #10).
This year’s awardees are:
- Paola Corso – Poet, fiction writer and essayist; author of award winning works on steelworkers and garment workers. She will be reading from her poetry on the Triangle Shirtwaist Factory fire.
- Prof. Edvige Giunta – Educator at New Jersey City University, award-winning author on Italian American Studies and the Triangle Shirtwaist Factory fire.
- Sondra E. McGill – Triangle Fire Memorial Association curator, art historian, and graduate of Bard College. She is a relative of a Triangle fire victim.
