"Visions of Italy. A tour of Italy through the eyes of the artist Joseph Genova"
on Saturday September 14 at 2:00pm
Live music will accompany the event, light refreshment will be served.
Joseph Genova is a native of Italy who moved to New York at the age of nine. Mr. Genova is a mostly self-taught artist, drawing inspiration from Renaissance art and 19th century Italian art. His greatest influence is the dramatic light of the 17th century Italian artist, Michelangelo Caravaggio. Most of the architectural subject matter in his paintings is derived from his frequent travels to Italy and other European countries. Mr. Genova's paintings are on display in many private collections in the United States, Canada, and Italy.
Exhibit on view: Monday, September 16, 2013 through Friday, November 15, 2013.
