Bronx Little Italy’s Annual Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony is back again this year on Saturday, December 3, 2022. Ciccarone Park at the intersection of East 188th Street and Arthur Avenue in the Bronx. The event is open to the public from 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM and attendees can get into the holiday spirit by meeting Santa and an elf, singing along to holiday caroling, and enjoying Italian cookies and hot chocolate from local small businesses.
In addition, The BID will partner again with Love Holds Life Children’s Cancer Foundation, whose mission is to support children and families fighting cancer by providing monetary aid for medical expenses not covered by insurance, and will offer a toy giveaway for the community, which is first come, first served and the child must be present.
The Tree Lighting will be the start of just some of the neighborhood’s iconic holiday offerings including the Bronx Zoo Holiday Lights, the New York Botanical Garden Holiday Train Show®, and holiday shopping for gourmet goods as well as fine dining in Bronx Little Italy.
