
Little Italy was once a vibrant immigrant community, but a lot has changed for the historic downtown neighborhood that used to represent a different Italian region on every block. The area is steeped in rich tradition and history.
With the annual Feast of San Gennaro street party in full swing, take a look back at Little Italy through the ages. Carol Bartone, the 1965 Queen of the San Gennaro Festival, is joined by Queens District Attorney Frank D. O'Connor, Judge Mario Procaccino and Council President Paul Screvane.
