
Councilman Paul Vallone was proud to host the Annual Italian Heritage Celebration with City Council Speaker Melissa Mark- Viverito at City Hall on the evening of October 7. Nearly 300 friends, family, guests and dignitaries joined in a celebration that filled the Council Chambers. This year's celebration also commemorated the 100th birthday of Frank Sinatra.
Vallone was proud to present Proclamations to Fire Department of the City of New York (FDNY) Commissioner Daniel A. Nigro, and Frank Sinatra School of the Arts, in honor of the late singer. Both honorees are distinguished figures of the Italian-American community and examples of the extraordinary roles Italians and Italian- Americans have played in shaping New York City and the world.
