To celebrate the appointment of the first Italian-American chief judge in the state of New York, Hon. Janet DiFiore, the Columbian Lawyers Association, First Judicial Department held a yacht party aboard the Atlantis out of Pier 81 in Manhattan on Monday night.
"We are thrilled and privileged to welcome the chief judge," said the Columbian Lawyers Association's President Marianne Bertuna. "The Columbian Lawyers, First Department actually predicted this when we bestowed the Rapallo Award to Chief Judge Janet DiFiore in 2008. We are honored to have her here with us tonight."
