A customer ordering a slice of pie at Mr. Pizza’s Pasta House in New Springville would never know by glancing at Jaxson Zollo that the energetic toddler was born with a potentially life-threatening heart condition.

Jaxson, who will be 3 years old in June, has defied all the odds and he does not sit still even for a second as his parents, Dennis and Elizabeth (Liz), are interviewed by the Staten Island Advance/SILive.com on a recent day inside the restaurant at 2325 Richmond Ave. at the Heartland Village Shopping Center.
