The Feast of Mother Cabrini was back in Brentwood Saturday for the first time in two years. The food was back and people enjoyed the rides at the Suffolk County Community College celebration after the pandemic put the festival on pause for the past couple of years. People said that they were delighted to celebrate once again.
"I've been here every single year. Obviously not during COVID, but I've been here every single year," enthused Bay Shore resident Celena Jimenez. The Feast of Mother Cabrini Festival has been a tradition here on Long Island for nearly 50 years. It's been a family tradition for Jimenez and her family. "It means everything. It's what we do as a family. We go to carnivals and this is the most important carnival we go to," she added.
