
On Sunday, October 6th, at 12:30 pm, a group of Verdi lovers, and members of the Italian American Community will meet at Verdi Square, 72 St., between, Amsterdam & Broadway, to sing "VaPensiero" from Verdi's Nabucco.
The crowd will then march to Christ and St. Stephens Church, 120 West 69th, where the commemorative ceremony will conclude with the Altamura/Caruso International Voice Competition Finals. A Commentary on Verdi by Founder, Carmella Altamura, and tribute to the late benefactress, Agnes Varis, of the Agnes Varis Foundation will close the celebrations. All are invited to both events, Singing March and Competition Finals. For the Finals only, admission is $35
