
On July 22, NIAF proudly celebrated its 50th anniversary and the 70th anniversary of Italy’s membership in the United Nations alongside the Permanent Mission of Italy to the United Nations at UN Headquarters in New York City.
Distinguished remarks were delivered by NIAF President & CEO Robert Allegrini, NIAF Chairman John Calvelli, Permanent Representative of Italy to the United Nations, Ambassador Maurizio Massari, Italy’s Under-Secretary of State for the Environment and Energy Security, Senator Claudio Barbaro, President of the Economic and Social Council and Permanent Representative of Canada to the United Nations, Ambassador Bob Rae, and Minister Counsellor Jonathan Shrier, Acting Representative of the United States of America to the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations.
The evening honored Italy’s legacy of global leadership and NIAF’s five decades of cultural diplomacy and community advocacy.
