Hon. Robert A. Contiguglia died on Sunday, May 31, 2015 at age 84, after a brief illness. A lifelong resident of Auburn, Robert was born Feb. 27, 1931 to Anthony J. and Ida B. Contiguglia. He was a 1949 graduate of Auburn East High School, a 1953 graduate of Hamilton College, and a 1956 graduate of Cornell Law School.
In 1956, he was drafted into the United States Army along with his twin brother, Louis. After completing training at Fort Jackson, S.C., he and his brother were stationed in Poitiers, France, where Robert was assigned to the Inspector General's Office. While stationed in France, he met and married his wife, Micheline Tierce, of Saintes, France.
