The state Conference of Italian-American Lawmakers honored Gov. Andrew Cuomo, acclaimed rock drummer Liberty DeVitto and actor Tony Danza in the Well of the Legislative Office Building at noon Monday amid a plenitude of good food. The governor did not attend, but met with the honorees later in the day.
DeVitto, whose resume includes years alongside Billy Joel as well as stints with Meat Loaf, Paul McCartney and more, also saw his father Vincent honored for his service in World War II, including taking part in the D-Day invasion as a paratrooper.
