Olivia Tursi, M.A., L.C.S.W-R, a psychological counselor at the John D. Calandra Italian American Institute, will reflect on professional endeavors as a female psychotherapist and small business owner, through the lens of an Italian American woman; and Trisha Rossi M.A., L.C.S.W., adjunct professor at Suffolk County Community College, will discuss how females have been, currently are, and will continue to influence the fields of psychotherapy, small business (private practice), and psychology in higher education. She will share how being an Italian American female influenced how she overcame hardships and achieved successes along the way.
