One of the most comprehensive collections of 20th-century Italian glass is on view in New York just as it is being dispersed. As a preview for a sale next Tuesday in Chicago, Wright auction house has packed its Manhattan showroom at 980 Madison Avenue with glass vessels and sculptures consigned by the photo stylist and art director Dimitri Levas.
He's been acquiring them since the '70s, focusing on celebrated makers and designers like Venini, A.V.E.M., Gio Ponti and Carlo Scarpa.
