May 7, 7 - 9.30 pm. Westchester Italian Cultural Center - One Generoso Pope Place , Tuckahoe , NY 10707 United States
With the internationalization of the labor market, the number of young Italians abroad is growing exponentially. Above all, highly talented professionals, qualified persons, researchers and academics are leaving the country. They all have the desire to live where merit and competence are valued at the expense of recommendations and bureaucracy.
This presentation will analyze the effect that this skilled migration produces in the country from which the flow originates, as it generates a lower level of human capital, a gap of social return and private education, and finally a negative tax flow. We will hear the stories of students, entrepreneurs, and freelancers who have chosen to move abroad. They will talk about the reality they left behind, their fears and hopes for a better future, and the challenges they faced as immigrants. Must register in advance and prepay. Members $15, Non-Members $25
