It’s fading away. The sacrifice of these soldiers and their fellow Veterans are why we are here. A final salute to the names listed here? Recognize anyone? This artistic memorial wall shown in the attached photos will be demolished. The property it faces is for sale. The wall will go. So far the ommunity and businesses have been silent on what action will be taken: what to do with this tribute to Veterans.

The memorial art wall is a painting. Its on stucco, and has aged and has many cracks, it may be impossible to remove. It has extensive fading and peeling. No record of the original names exists as far as I know. Some have said that at the minimum there should be some type of recorded history of it in photos and text. Perhaps an exhibition can be held or a re-creation of the Little Italy Memorial Wall can be Place somewhere else in an appropriate medium. Once the property that it faces on 109-111 Mulberry Street is sold, this vision, this memorial will be gone.
