On the Italian Stage is a series of encounters conceived and led by Laura Caparrotti (Artistic Director, Kairos Italy Theater) that journeys into the history of Italian Theater to explore its language, and its contribution to Italian society and world theater. To conclude our 2021 series dedicated to the 100th anniversary of Leonardo Sciascia's birth, we will explore Sciascia's relationship with theater - his plays and the theatricality of his writing - and with his fellow countryman, the playwright Luigi Pirandello.
