Local filmmaker Julio Vincent Gambuto’s “love letter to Staten Island” could be headed to the big screen in the near future. The rights to his movie, “Team Marco,” which filmed around the borough, have been acquired by Samuel Goldwyn Films, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
“I am thrilled to bring this thoroughly charming film to audiences this fall," Meg Longo of Samuel Goldwyn Films said in a statement. “Julio has made an entertaining and sweet movie that works for the whole family.”
