If you enjoy food from around the world, you won't want to miss the TASTES of the World, the 2nd Annual International food tasting festival on Thursday. March 26 from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. This year's event at the WAMC Linda will honor Prof. Philip J. DiNovo, a former SUNY professor who for 32 years has volunteered his time and who helped found the American Italian Heritage Association and Museum.
"We wanted to honor someone within our community who has contributed to bringing culture to the area," said Diane Conroy-LaCivita with the International Center of the Capital Region which organized the event. "Prof. DiNovo has volunteered his time for so long." The food tasting festival will feature 13 different restaurants, many due to a partnership with the Central Avenue BID, Conroy-LaCivita said.
