The Ulster County Italian-American Foundation is set to host its Fashion Show fundraiser on Sunday, April 6, according to an announcement. The event, scheduled from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m., will be held at Diamond Mills, 25 South Partition St. An Italian lunch and pre-show, with music by Andrew Hoben, will run from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., with the fashion show itself beginning at 3:30 p.m.
This year, Italian fashion designer Francesca Liberatore will take part in the fashion show, showcasing her designs all the way from Milan, organizers said n the announcement. Liberatore’s work will be interspersed with Italian-made designs from local stores, family vintage pieces, items brought back from Italy by members of the Ulster County Italian-American Foundation, and a special collection created by foundation members as a tribute to the region’s formerly vibrant sewing and textile industry, the announcement said.
