Vito De Simone was elected Grand Marshal to lead the Columbus Day Parade on Sunday, October 7th at 12 Noon in the City of Huntington, Long Island. The parade is organized by the Sons of Italy in America, the largest Italian American Fraternity. Relatives, friends and sympathizers are welcomed to march with me.
There will be good food to eat, lots of private stands and music; marchers will include school bands, civil servants, such as the police, Fire and Sanitation Departments, among others. The marchers will also include school children and all the Sons of Italy Lodges. The Sons of Italy's Columbus day Parade promotes Italian American pride, and, in no case it is intended to offend any Native American, nor any other American.
