Jack Provenzano is very, very Italian. His heritage is in his blood and in his heart — and he wants to share it with other Italians throughout Hillsborough County. He is the president of the newly formed Italian American Club at the Northdale Recreation Center. It is open to everyone — even to non-Italians — and meets every second Wednesday of each month at the center at 7 p.m.
Provenzano said that he wants Tampa Bay to be part of the Italian community, but he also wants his club to be part of Tampa Bay. "I thought it was kind of the right thing to do," he said. "Being in this group gives you a sense of who you really are. When I leave this world, I want to know that I left something behind."
