On May 30th, CCI-NC and Opera Carolina hosted our annual Festa della Repubblica celebration in remembrance of Italy's historic vote to become a republic. The evening featured Italian cuisine, operatic performances, and engaging conversations, all celebrating Italian culture and community in Charlotte.
A silent auction with donations from Italian businesses was held, and Hon. Cristiana Mele, the Consul General in Philadelphia, the guest of honor, delivered a speech and received farewell gifts. Additionally, fellow Italian Maestro Stefano Vignati was introduced as Opera Carolina's new Music Director and Principal Conductor.
We express our gratitude to all sponsors, raffle donors, Pizza Baby for catering, and everyone who attended.
