Italian-American club still giving back to community

The Sunrise Italian-American Civic Association was founded more than 40 years ago, and as the old guard moved on and new blood joined, its mission of giving back to the community has remained among its highest priorities.
City Commissioner Joey Scuotto remembers the Italian-American Club being a way of life for his parents – and a way for them and other Italians to share their culture.
