
The aptly named The Light in the Piazza has a lot to say about how light -- actual and felt -- can change a person's life by letting you see possibilities that weren't apparent before.
It makes this challenging 2005 Broadway musical a particularly fitting one for Brick Road Theatre to pull off at the start of its second year. By all reasoning, a small nonprofit company on a bare budget, working its way toward professional status, shouldn't be expected to master Adam Guettel's Tony Award-winning operatic score, with multiple songs performed in Italian.
