The smells, sounds, and vibrant colors of Italy will take over downtown Reno (NV) as the 42nd annual Great Italian Festival kicks off on Saturday, October 12. The festival takes place on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m., and wraps up Sunday, October 13 from 10:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. The event is open to the public, and free to enter.

This year, celebrity baker Buddy "Buddy V" Valastro of the A&E show "Cake Dynasty" will be in attendence - he will be hosting the Cannoli and Zeppole booth on Saturday, and will be the MC for the grape stomping competition. The Wine Walk is returning at this year's festival. Attendees will be able to sample a variety of wines, with selections spanning different regions of Italy.
