The Italian American Club of Maui held its annual Christmas party at Class Act Restaurant on the University of Hawaii Maui College campus in December and had a candle-lighting ceremony to install the 2013 officers.
The officers include Fred Rawe, secretary; Diane Alba-Means, public relations; Laura Platania Moscatelli, vice president; Mary Pence, president; Robert Lercari, treasurer; and Frank Fiorentino, website manager.
The Italian American Club of Maui was founded about 20 years ago by Doc "Jim" Vitale, the late Tom Politano and Gene Viglione. IACM is an Italian heritage club whose mission is to promote the Italian culture through fellowship, good food and friendship. Everyone is welcome. The IACM also raises funds for a yearly scholarship that is awarded to a Maui high school senior.
