Italian leather furniture maker Natuzzi is opening a Natuzzi Italia store in South Coast Collection, a high-end shopping district in Orange County, the company said. Natuzzi Italia will open by the end of the year in 11,000 square feet of the space formerly occupied by kitchen designer Surfas Culinary District, joining 70 other food and retail tenants such as Eggslice, Bang & Olufsen and Chuck Jones Gallery.
The Italian designer and maker of leather and upholstered furniture has been expanding into direct retail marketing. Earlier this year it opened a 7,200-square-foot store in West Palm Beach, Fla., and a 9,000-square-foot store Paramus, N.J. Natuzzi plans to open stores in Philadelphia and Chicago in 2017. Natuzzi operates 70 direct retail stores in seven countries.
