Italian company Estel has been selected by Apple to build anti-seismic facilities and equipment for its new "Campus 2," soon to be opened in Cupertino, California, where it will be home to 13,000 employees.
Based in the Italian city of Vicenza, Estel employs around 350 workers with an annual turnover of around €60 million. It has been competing for Apple's project for the past two years, eventually making it over the only other remaining candidate (an American company).
