VivaBioCell SpA, a spin-off of the University of Udine and leading biotechnology company, has been acquired by LA-based privately-held NantCell, which focuses on discovery and development of innovative cell-based therapies for disease.
This deal – an amount unknown although speculated upon by online newspapers – comes on the heels of a $30 million cash acquisition of VisLab S.r.l. earlier this month by Santa Clara-based Ambarella, Inc. (NASDAQ: AMBA).
