Marco Peronaci, the new Ambassador of Italy to the US, was received today at the White House by President Donald J. Trump, to whom he presented his Letters of Credence. “The warm welcome extended to me by President Trump, and the speed with which he allowed me to present my credentials - just a few days after my arrival in Washington - are the best demonstration of the strength and vitality of the relationship between Italy and the US,” the Ambassador said.
During his meeting with the American Head of State, Ambassador Peronaci conveyed the warm greetings from the President of the Italian Republic, Sergio Mattarella, and expressed his hope to contribute to further strengthening the extraordinary friendship between the two countries.
