Supporting culture and the arts is part of Salvatore Ferragamo's DNA, and the Italian luxury house hosted a cocktail reception at its Michigan Avenue store last week to celebrate the upcoming 606 project.
The 606, named after the telephone area code all Chicagoans share, will convert unused urban space along the city's east-west Bloomingdale Avenue into a lush public park, resulting in a 2.7-mile recreational trail set atop a former elevated-rail line. It is slated to open in June.
