It is happening all over the United States, but when it happens at home, it still hurts. Albano's Market in Springfield's South End is closing. Sisters Filomena Bruschi and Theresa D'Angelantonio have sold the property on East Columbus Avenue and will soon close its door.

Their parents opened the market in 1942. Frozen Italian lemonade was the market's signature specialty but by no means the only reason loyal customers loved it.
