1000 Miglia could not fail to be present on Amelia Island. On the occasion of the motoring event voted by the New York Times as one of the best concours d’elegance in the United States, eight Spirit of 1000 Miglia medals were awarded, the recognition that 1000 Miglia gives to cars that symbolise the authentic essence of the Red Arrow.
The winner of the Spirit of 1000 Miglia prize was Robert Kauffmann’s 1957 Ferrari 250 GT. Also receiving the Spirit of 1000 Miglia medal were:1949 Lancia Aprilia Supergioiello; 1958 Ferrari 250 GT LWB; 1954 Siata 208 CS; 1950 Nardi 1100 Sport; 1952 Allard J2X; 1957 Lancia Appia Zagato; 1957 Maserati 2000 SE; 1955 Ferrari 250 Europa GT.
