Pieter Weyts recently opened Bellagio Home furniture boutique at 323 Worth Ave. — and while he doesn’t sell antiques, the Belgium-native thinks that in 100 years, these pieces will be the next generation of antiques. The handmade, Italian furniture in the shop features the Alessandro Vincipieces available in the United States. Vinci, a popular designer in Europe, draws inspiration from the Lake Como region of Italy just north of Milan.
“It’s basically furniture that will last you a lifetime and (can be) passed onto the next generation,” Weyts said. Weyts came to the United States two decades ago and has lived in Miami for the past 10 years. Though he is not from Italy, he speaks Italian and has an appreciation for Italian products.
