Jay McCarthy, the corporate chef and operating manager at 188 South, believes the new Italian restaurant stands out among the rest because of one simple reason — every ingredient used is simple, fresh and delivers a unique taste customers won't soon forget.
188 South, located at 188 S. Castell Ave., opened Aug. 15, and is operates daily from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. The restaurant is committed to producing fresh, local Italian food, and they achieve this by locally sourcing and hand-making as many of their products as possible. A few notable menu items include in-house handmade pastas, brick chicken, clams and mussels, meatball linguine and specialty pizzas.
