The web portal TasteAtlas, a digital gastronomic encyclopedia that catalogs traditional dishes, local food and wine products, and restaurants around the world, has these days published its ranking of the world's most popular cheeses. The ranking is based on votes cast by portal users who have tested these products. And out of 100 cheeses, Italy not only won the first place but also 8 positions among the top 10. And in the top 20, 12 came from our country.
Parmigiano Reggiano and spicy Gorgonzola occupy the first two positions, with a rating of 4.8 (out of a maximum of 5), followed by Burrata and Grana Padano with a score of 4.7. Then in the ranking we find Stracchino di Crescenza, Mozzarella di Bufala Campana, as many as three Pecorino cheeses, namely Sardo, Toscano and Romano, Taleggio, Provola, Stracciatella, Fiore Sardo, Mozzarella, sweet Gorgonzola, Caciocavallo Silano and Provolone del Monaco.
