Join us for an intimate concert of Italian songs and arias, performed by the students of University of Minnesota, Music Department Professor, Jean del Santo.
Three students from Jean's Italian Diction for Singers class, will perform a concert of twelve songs and arias that the students have studied and performed in class during Spring semester 2013. Undergraduate vocal performance majors are required to study Italian grammar and lyric diction as part of their degree program.
This interactive program will include interesting background and historical information on the composers and songs to be performed, copies of the Italian song texts and translations, and the opportunity to interact with the performers.
This special event will be held on Thursday, May 2, 2013, in suite 502 and studio 5B, of the Hennepin Center for the Arts building, 528 Hennepin Avenue, Minneapolis, MN. We will meet in suite 502 just prior to 6 p.m.
This event will be FREE for ICC members, and at a cost of $5 for non-members. Contact Peggy at info@theitalianculturalcenter.org with questions.
Space is limited, so register here today. Help us to support the University students, and enjoy some wonderful Itaian music in the process!
